The Krane

While my IG  timeline is filled with the most beautiful photos of
stunning and sunny holiday destinations I'm still working to finish as much
assignments as possible and I guess I'll have to be patience for two more weeks.

The images of this former Copenhagen Coal crane - The Krane - (located on the
edge of Nordhavn)  that has been turned into a stunning 2 person retreat,
really made me long for an extra summerbreak!

The black space is furnished with built-in furniture, as well as custom made
(Menu.as) Scandinavian design furniture (in leather, wood , stone and steel) and
I really love the stylish mimal touch of it.
The reception area can be find on the ground floor and a glass-walled meeting room
on the first floor aswell as a spa and terrace. The hotel room - living space (50 sqm)
complete with a lounge and terrace are situated on the top floor.

Would love to hire this inspiring place and enjoy the views over Copenhagen and
its inspiring hotspots awaiting our vacation ;-)

                                                                                                found via Dezeen with thanks!

Thonet 1060 X BeeldSTEIL

I have said it before but I really love it if two (or even more) inspiring
brands or creators work together...

German furniture company Thonet has presented their cooperation with Dutch
photographer and stylist Wen van Woudenberg (BeeldSTEIL.com) and I love the stunning
photos that she made of the wooden (ash) table 1060 designed in 2016 by
NL designer Jorre van Ast for Thonet.

Table 1060 by Jorre van Ast is a successful blend of the bending wood
tradition of Thonet and the graphic form language of now,
styled in the always inspiring Scandinavian atmosphere that we all know of Wen!

container house - green energy

.
From the moment I read about the container project of stylist Daniella Witte in October
last year I was curious about the ongoing proces and followed it on her blog.
Two weeks ago  the first container was ready and I love the cosy result and the
 harmonious atmosphere of the house!

It all started with Three traditional metal containers that where being rebuilt to small
houses and placed where the cornfields and meadows meet as Daniella said.
She wanted the feeling in the house to be like a hotel but still
with a certain modern rustic tone

This green energy house is decorated in bright natural tones. Beautiful light ash floors
combined with green painted walls (Greenleaf from Jotun Lady) and a kitchen (from Ikea)
spray-painted in the same color.  A perfect base for a harmonious atmosphere in my opion and I can't wait to admire the last of the three houses, they have been decorated in
entirely different color schemes.

On the blog of Daniella at Elle Decoration you can find images of
the second home decorated in warm brown tones!

This gorgeous 2 room apartment (55 square meters) seen at Hitta Hem and
decorated by Marie Ramse & Per Carlsson really inspired me last week...

Perspective Studio X Lineaire

If you follow me on instagram, you might have seen that I visited Stockholm
last weekend and wow we had such a great time! We walked through the city for hours,
visited museums (Fotografiska and Moderna  Museet) and enjoyed the
cozy atmosphere at the Stockholm Street Festival and the Breaking new waves
event at Skeppsholmen and of course we did some shopping!

When I visited Perspective Studio in February, owner Robin Klang told me that he
always wants to renew the store and make it attractive for custumers to be inspired again after every  visit. Actually, because I saw a lot of changes on their instagram, I had to go there again! This time, besides all the other beautiful items in the store (really everything is beautiful!),  Swedish brand Lineaire currently plays an important role in the store.

The collection is designed and produced by Madeleine Asplund Klingstedt and
Erik Asplund, who have a background in interior design and carpentry. Lineaire has just
released its first series of furniture that Madeleine and Erik felt was missing in the market.
Therefore, they decided to create a collection that has a clean and sober expression, with exciting details that catch the viewer's curiosity. The collection consists of Foldable (roomdivider), a pedestal,  a sideboard, a magazinerack, a candleholder  and a bench and
 I just loved them!

Besides the Lineaire collection, there is so much more to see at Perspective studio
so I definitely recommend (Yes, again...) this amazing place if you are in Stockholm.
Partner/owner Ejub Bicic told me that there are major changes scheduled for September..,
a good reason to come back after Summer I think!

Menu Space

Probably you already have seen them but when I saw the stunning images of
the newly showroom, office, and caf√© - Menuspace -  I wished I could admire it
myself and book the first possible flight for a quick visit to Copenhagen!

Menu Space is designed in collaboration with Norm Architects for Danish design
company Menu and the goal was creating a welcoming open space where everyone
could stop by for a coffee, a meeting, creating great ideas or simply to admire the
beautiful designs of Menu and build a community around Menu Space that way.

“The idea is to keep Menu Space moving and ever changing. To have friends of the
house and people we admire stop by on a regular basis and change the interior layout
however they see fit – ensuring that we always have a vibrant, creative, lively
space that continues to inspire our neighbours, visitors, friends, clients, and designers”

The interior is inspired by the raw and industrial setting of the surrounding area,
the harbour in Nordhavn and according to Norm architiects the space draws heavy
inspiration  from strong materials that can be found in the area such as concrete and
steel, providing a beautiful contrast to the objects and designs that fill the plateaus,
floors, and corners of the space.

Menu Space can be found: Hamborg plads 2, 2150 Nordhavn,
Denmark openinghours weekdays 8.00 – 16.00

Bloom by Norm Architects

.
"A series of installations throughout out the festival site
prompted visitors to consider form, materiality and alternative perspectives"

Just admired these beautiful images of the recently created spatial concept by
 - a festival of nature and science situated in the heart of one of
Copenhagen’s  largest parks, S√łndermarken  - and I keep watching them
over and over... Inspired by the stunning mix of nature and art!
